106 nabbed in swoops

IN A six-hour police swoop on Saturday, police arrested 106 people on the weekend. The suspects were rounded up for a wide range of criminal offences such as gang and vice-related activities, in the enforcement operation led by the Criminal Investigation Department. More than 150 officers were involved in the operation that ended early on Sunday morning. The arrests were made at various entertainment outlets in MacPherson Road, Circular Road, Boat Quay and South Bridge Road.
