Responsibilities
As an Allied Educator (Teaching and Learning) you will work with teachers to enhance the teaching and learning of secondary school students in both academic and non-academic areas. Your key responsibilities include:
• Provide teaching and learning support for students within and outside classroom
- Undertake co-teaching responsibilities
- Provide specific and differentiated learning and remediation support for individual or a group of students
- Assist in lesson planning and administer tests and evaluate students’ work
- Assist in developing additional learning support programmes for students
- Assist in building of teaching and learning resources
• Provide pastoral and welfare support to students
- Assist in the delivering of pastoral and welfare programme for students
- Provide differentiated support for their individual needs and work closely with teachers and parents for the well-being of the students
• Assist in the conduct of Co-curricular Programme and accompany students on visits, trips and out of school activities
Requirements
• Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Possess at least post secondary qualification or equivalent, preferably a diploma from any of the five local polytechnics or GCE ‘A’ level certificate or International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma; or NUS High School Diploma; and GCE ‘O’ level credits in English and Mathematics
• Specialised knowledge and skills relevant to the secondary curriculum and learning programmes would be an advantage
• Aptitude and passion in developing and nurturing youths
• A team player with good interpersonal skills
