10 suspects caught for involvement in loanshark activities

SINGAPORE: Six men and four women have been arrested on suspicion of helping loan sharks in their illegal activities.
Police said the 10 suspects, aged between 18 and 55 years, were caught on Monday and Tuesday at places such as Choa Chu Kang, Marsiling Crescent, Bukit Batok and Jurong West.
Police believe they had opened bank accounts and given away their Automated Teller Machine cards and Personal Identification Numbers to loan shark syndicates to facilitate their businesses.
Investigations against the suspects are ongoing.
