At least ten passengers died and 17 were injured in a bus crash in Thailand's Surat Thani Province.
The crash happened in the early hours of Tuesday when the driver of the bus lost control and
crashed into a power pole at the side of the road. Thai television channel PBS, reported that an
Indian national was among the ten dead, including the driver, while eight other foreigners, including
two Britons, were among the 17 casualties. The 24-seat bus left Bangkok late on Monday on its
way to the famous tourist destination, Phangan Island.
