Note : I've excluded polyglots who didn't include Chinese as one of the languages in their repertoire, primarily for me to personally verify they're not charlatans spouting gibberish. Actually 3 of the polyglots featured do not speak Chinese, but they both do speak both Korean & Japanese, which both being Category V languages (see chart below), is a comparable achievement.

John Garrison is an angmoh who speaks Chinese & Japanese & Korean, and he concurs with the Foreign Service Institute's School of Language Studies findings that these 3 languages (Chinese & Japanese & Korean) are the toughest languages for English speakers to learn :
