INDEPENDENT directors at beleagured Sino-Environment are keeping tight-lipped about the company's future despite some startling weekend developments at the company.
Three executive directors stunned market watchers by quitting over the holiday while the threat of a mass walkout by union workers hangs over the firm.
The independent directors have so far refused comment on the fate of the troubled firm but have said they will make an announcement in a few days.
'Queries will be addressed in an announcement to be put out in a day or two. I am currently taking advice from my lawyers,' said independent director Wong Chiang Yin.
Fellow independent Goh Chee Wee added: 'We will issue a response in due time.'
The weekend dramas came after a sustained campign by independent directors to oust the executive directors.
