KUALA LUMPUR, NETRALNEWS.COM - Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Wednesday (3/22/2017), says Malaysia expects to record growth in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) this year which is slightly higher than last year’s 4.2 percent.

"We expect the figure is slightly higher this year, and the [growth] rises in 2018," he said in a speech at the Global Transformation Forum.

Citing from the Straits Times, the government has predicted that the economy will grow by around four or five percent in 2017.

These figures showed that Malaysia’s economy grows twice as fast over the IMF’s predicted rank of developed countries in the same period of time. (*)
