In a very long stretch of history for centuries, the practice for peace treaty between 2 countries to avoid wars, is to offer a Royal Hostage from the King's beloved children to the other countries in interchange to ensure peace. If they found wars to become inevitable between themselves, then these hostages are automatically killed before war starts. There are many kings in different countries who actually had been living as hostages when they were teenage, severals were prominent powerful rulers after the ended their lives as hostages. Hostages are rotated or swapped or switched, as long as your king send another valid hostage to take your place, you may return.
Famous 秦始皇 1st Emperor grew up as a hostage in enemy Zhao Nation, 9 years of his life was a lonely living hostage.
Kim Jong Nuke must tell Dotard to send Ivanka Trump to Pyongyang as hostage if he want to see no Hwasong-ICBM going to USA. If US try to be funny with Kim Jong Nuke, she can be raped and killed instantly.

This is called hostages. It is usually the son of a monarch who is pledged as a hostage in other countries. The Qin alien is an example. In addition to exchanging hostages in an equal manner, there are cases where unilateral hostages are sent out when a weak state seeks to become a powerful state.
The Central Power also controls the needs of local powers. It will appoint the local leader’s relatives as the Beijing officials, claiming to be the official son and the United States as the waiter. The surface of the Renzi is a kind of glory, but in essence it is the hostage controlled by the court. The central government can influence the decisions of local leaders with the safety of hostages.
When there is a contradiction between the two forces, the safety of hostages is unwarranted. For instance, the Qin aliens are regarded as the enemy of Qin, the country's great enemy, and the two sides gain political balance. There are also practices that do not respect the eldest son and avoid problems with inheritance of power.
During the Mongol Empire, the Mongolian Da Khan allowed the princes and the children of the school to come under great sweat as hostages and called turqaq. These children were made into an army called the Bald and Flower Army. [1]
The act of provoking the sons of princes also appeared in Japan. For example, when the Japanese Warring States period, the name of Tokugawa Ieyasu, used to be a hostage on Imagawa Prefecture.
