Nothing to do with the totalitarian system. Sinkies basically are descendants of low caste hokkiens. Many have ancestors who were trishaw pullers and labourers. The lack of class is a thing that cannot be compensated by any amount of education or wealth. Just try to watch a few TikTok clips. The moment you see a Sinkie clip you can immediately detect a lack of quality or humour.
