You cannot compare Kanxi in this episode lah, the crown prince was influenced by his subjects to usurp the thrown when the emperor was in the battle field. Kanxi knows his son did not have the gut to do him harm so there must be more than meet the eyes that prompted him to carry out thorough investigations on the matter. Whereas Yaw was hounded by hornets including its Queen bees from SPH and was chased into WP camp until LKY got frustrated with no choice but to chase him out.

One thing that struck me was his willingness to apologise, something most forummers don't see the need to do.

And speculations are part of the world. At least there is no hypocrisy in doing so clearly knowing that the truth is otherwise (the usual case of the fat insect) while Broc knew he did not have the truth, so stopped.
