SINGAPORE: A concrete mixer truck got into an accident along Sheares Avenue on Sunday (Feb 4) which caused its revolving drum to tumble onto the road.

The police said they were alerted to the accident at about 12.40pm.

Channel NewsAsia understands that the drum fell off when the driver was turning right.

Photos posted by Facebook user Gary Wu showed the large white lorry in the middle of the road and a dented drum lying beside it.

No injuries were reported and police investigations are ongoing.

must forgive. it overworked to death as it over-rotated at karoshit speed.
 
It is very rare to see the mixing drum to fall off like that...what happened to all the fasteners? or screws? or belts or..?? or have these cement mixer companies have the same 'cultural problems' faced by SMRT.

Very rare accident indeed...topple over yes, skid & bang into something yes!...mixing drum fall off...rare! one in 53 years!

wansin-awhile must chut pattern to go boom-shang-a-lang, to "cement" the notion that they're king of the road together with container trucks :oops:
