From NetEase:
“Third Hand” Appear in Dennis Rodman and Kim Jong-un’s Meeting; Suspected of Being a North Korean PS Mistake
According to Hong Kong media reports, U.S. basketball star Dennis Rodman made his second visit to North Korea last week, and last Friday, was received and had dinner with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un, where it was reported that the two had a “cordial talk” during the meal.
However, on a photograph North Korean officials published, it appeared that Rodman had a “third hand” (circled)! The outside world believes this “weird hand” is that of the interpreter between Rodman and Kim Jong-un, a joke arising from a momentary oversight by North Korean authorities when they altered the photo.
Rodman left Pyongyang to return home via Beijing on the weekend, but widely-watched Korean-American citizen Kenneth Bae, who was [previously] detained in North Korea and sentenced to reeducation through labor, was not traveling with him, and it is believed that he has not been freed.
Previously, according to a Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) report, Kim Jong-un “warmly welcomed Rodman’s trip and they had a cordial conversation” in Pyongyang.
Pyongyang had previously abruptly canceled U.S. Human Rights special envoy Robert King’s visit, and Rodman’s visit sparked speculation on whether he would go forward to persuade North Korea to release Kenneth Bae.
Additionally, when Rodman returned from Pyongyang to Beijing to transfer flights, he also he also caused some “incidents”. A reporter asked for information about Kenneth Bae whereby Rodman impatiently rejected related statements. Rodman said: “You guessed what? That’s not my job to ask about Kenneth Bae. Ask Obama about that, ask Hillary Clinton!”
