Is 38 Oxley a National Monument or merely a Party Monument?
If it is a National Monument, then the State should have a say, but if it is merely a Party Monument commemorating the founding of the PAP, then let the Party fight it out with the family. Parliament should not interfere.
The trouble is Singaporeans are unable to distinguish between Party and State. PAP is Singapore. Thanks to our shallow education system we are no better than followers of the Party line rather than independent thinkers.
