An eyewitness said she saw a man being dragged by a car while she was driving along Upper Serangoon Road. About 20 cars were honking loudly at the driver but he or she did not stop, said the eyewitness
Officers from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) were at Hillside Drive on Wednesday evening and have cordoned off a section of double-storey houses in the quiet residential estate.
Residents realised something was wrong when they spotted a blue police tent along Upper Serangoon Road near the MRT station.
Drivers also saw CID officers combing the road around The Girls' Brigade near Hillside Drive.

Kovan double murder: Suspects can't hide for long, say experts

So everyone better watch out! Including Mas Salamat.

Kovan double murder: Suspects can't hide for long, say expert

Published on Jul 12, 2013

The suspect or suspects behind the Kovan double murders will be caught “in a matter of days”, former police commanders and detectives confidently predicted yesterday.

Singapore's small size, tight border controls and advanced police forensics and detection technologies mean any fugitive would find it "near impossible to escape", they said.

The reason MAS Selamat was not caught was because he WASN'T hiding. Instead he was merely staying at his brother's place before taking a leisurely swim across the Johor straits. Had MAS Selamat been actually hiding, the police would have found him

They will probably be caught within three days, and at the longest, seven," said chief executive of security consultancy Soverus, Mr Paul Lim, who held senior posts in the Criminal Investigation Department and as commander of Tanglin Police Division

Elyamani Khamis (full name: Mohammed Elkadiri Elhassani Elyamani, born January 21, 1957) was a Moroccan financier. He starting doing business in Europe before relocating to Singapore, where he invested heavily in food and entertainment projects. One of these projects was Marina Village—a complex of 19 pubs and restaurants in Marina South which he spent S$40.5 million to develop.

yes, yes... forgot about him..

In 1990, Khamis was arrested by Singapore's Commercial Affairs Department based on suspicions that the letters of credit he had used to borrow S$72 million had been fraudulently issued. Although he was later released, he never repaid the loans; in November 1991, he was declared bankrupt for not settling his debt with Standard Chartered Bank. He disappeared in October 1992 and is likely to have left Singapore. In 1992, Singaporean authorities issued a warrant of arrest for him for illegally leaving the country, and he is also being sought by Interpol.
Tat Kamis who wack Millions?

blardy hell and all this while I thought playing police and thief in my youth was all in vain. At least now I know that if you don't want to get caught, don't hide. Eureka - I've found some answers to "Where have all the flowers gone".

Now, to put into practice my skills from playing hantam bola and locktor and missy  Tgif!

i remember reading from Wanbao that the police officer happened to look elsewhere, and Ah How simply walked over the checkpoint. one can plan the escape to the smallest of details but one can't buy this kind of great luck like ah how at the causeway. but he later stupidly listened to his father and surrendered to the Malaysia authorities.

I hope the murderer will be caught only AFTER seven days. It will embarrass the police.
