Yesterday had a meeting at Keppel tower and proceeded with the group to Seah Im hawker center for a quick lunch. Few girls in the group wanted healthy food, so went for seafood/fish soup. What I saw this hawker stall did SHOCKED me. Instead of cooking ee-min (hardened noodles) in each individual pot. This stall cooks all noodles in the same pot of soup stock that is given to all customers.

Imagine 100 ee-mins cooked and boiled in this pot of soup? You get to be drinking 100 times the food wax and preservatives in the soup.

I brought this to the attention of the girls and they were equally shocked. Name of the stall I cannot remember but something like Hao…….It has a bright pink signboard.

aiya...they also cook the braised duck from the same pot mah....and the pot of gravy neber change some more...for many moons...and people say very delicious.

The maths don't add up. No matter how toxic the soup is, you can't get 100 times unless you drink 100 bowls. Also, if you consider the noodle and the soup to be a healthy dish, what toxic are you talking about?

Its does get more concentrated, but maybe not a hundred times.
