My experience with a China Friend. A few years ago when i was in Bangkok and befriend a lady from China. When we know each others a little better ( as mere friends only), she commented that my bank account must be really full as i have worked for a number of years.

At that instant, i start to distance away from her.

That is just pure rude even as a friend to comment on such thing. Whether my bank account is full or not, that is non of her business. My ang mor fren from first world country never ever make such a statement or ask me such question regarding my personal bank account.
