I would like to welcome Danny the Democracy Bear to the SDP family. He made his debut on last Sunday's walkabout.
Being fellow democrats, I am open to the distinct difference that we have. The most important thing is to respect each other. Even though Danny is a bear, we will not discriminate him. That is for sure.
Eversince making his debut, another bear has seem to become jealous of the publicity given to him and how positive residents in Bukit Panjang were towards him.
Yes, Danny has a new enemy apart from the PAP. That enemy is also a bear like him. He is call Alex the Authoritarian Bear. It is not quite clear how this Authoritarian Bear looks like, but legend has it that he so hideous that everyone shuns him like a pest. Alex the Authoritarian Bear has felt that his position as the "Most Politically Aware Bear" has been challenged and he is fast losing popularity.
Alex the Authoritarian Bear viciously attacked SINPO the Ant. The poor ant was beaten downtrodden without any mercy. He is said to be still nursing his wounds and has not made an appearance since then. We hope that he will recover soon to continue the struggle.
If PAP's politics is based on "divide and rule" then Alex's is based on "destroy and burn". I could not imagine him being the Member of Parliament or even worse, the Prime Minister.
The only sin that SINPO did was to carry the Singapore flag and shake hands with residents. Alex found that too unacceptable for a political animal. In his opinion, political animals should just rant and burn down the whole town if they disagreed with him.
Nevertheless, SINPO has found an ally in Danny. As of now, private talks and discussions are on the way to forge an alliance against the Alex the Authoritarian Bear. Both possess unique sets of skills and abilities required to bring down Alex.
The weakness of Alex is that he does not have friends and has poor listening skills. Even PAP finds him too full of himself to be of any use to them. Some sources are saying that PAP are positioning its lightning strikes and targetting at him. One strike will surely turn him from "Authoritarian Bear" to "Burnt Bear".
Danny is currently safe from sight and reach of Alex. After his first outing, he is hibernating for at least a week before the next walkabout. Danny also has the protection of people who are most willing to defend him if in any case he is attacked physically by Alex who is jumping mad by his mere existence.
