Raintree Pictures CEO Daniel Yun said in this week's I weekly that Lau Zoe could have been an international movie star.
Raintree's first movie was not supposed to be Jack Neo's Liang Po Po. It was supposed to be a epic film starring Hong Kong's Lau Ching Wan and our Lau Zoe.
Unfortunately the HK film company co-producing the film pulled out and withdrew their investment, leaving Lau Zoe high and dry.
Lau Zoe went on to star in her one and only flop, The Tree, which garnered unanimous approval among Singaporeans... for being the worst local movie ever.
