Singaporeans blamed for everything under the Sun and Moon

Nowadays Singaporeans are blame for everything bad that is happening in Singapore. Littering the public places, pushing and shoving as MRT trains arrive, not being gracious in accepting foreign talents and etc.
In a recent letter to the ST Forum, a Singaporean complaint about the attitudes of locals during the Kindness Movement campaign. He had just arrived back from a trip overseas and there were many strangers who were courteous and friendly. Not so in Singapore he says citing various examples.
The question is, since Singapore has about 50% of foreigners residing here, how can one tell whether Singaporeans are really to be blamed? Since 1975, the population of Singapore has doubled and soon to be tripled. It took about 50 years to inculcate the values and the culture that is uniquely Singaporean, only to be diluted by peoples born in different countries, where the culture, attitudes and behavior are somewhat different. Our Singaporean Indians do not practice the caste system yet the India Indians are bringing them back. Chinese Singaporeans on certain occasions burnt papers and incense annually. It is fine in 1975 where the population was about 2.75 million, but at 5.08 million?
The blame game must be stopped, and Singaporeans should not be taken to task for anti-social behavior and bad manners. Those ministers that keep harping on us Singaporeans should take a hard look at their immigration policy that is creating the stress and unhappiness of Singaporeans. Singaporeans should make a stand and voice out their frustrations, otherwise it will be too late in the next elections.
