Time and again, human nature asserts itself thru greed & fear.

Not too long ago, China stocks were the in-thing...companies' P&L were up but profits came from the stock market, not their true business. Normal folks were just buying stocks like nobodies business. They din know or care what the stocks represented. Then the Central Bank raised interest rates to cool the market. "Crash".

Oil - went up so high many rural petrol kiosks in US cudnt change their prices as the max prices cud be adjusted on the pumps was 3.99. Analysts were calling for US$200 per barrel. Rightly so now, demand has dropped thru reduced consumption. Hope people were not buried by tumbling barrels.

Commodities - even banks here were advertising commodity funds, calling for investors. It's on the way down now.

Dont people ever learn that the higher we go, the thinner the air becomes?
Just as men will always look for alternative playmates, there always seem to be market players buying high hoping suckers will buy even higher from them.

Do you hear them talking abt the stock market now at coffeeshops?

This is what the bear and the bull run is all about. Once the stock market is on the rise, there will be a point whereby the market will self adjust itself toward the actual state of the real market. Stock prices are all what people perceived them to be at. It is all based on hype.

That why never buy when the bull run is ongoing for quite sometimes. The cycle will always be there. If you miss it, just wait for the next one to come.
