Save The Koala - This Is Extremely Serious

September is the "Save The Koala Month" and culminates this year with "Save The Koala Day", on Friday 26 September . The aim of Save the Koala Day is to raise awareness of the plight of one of Australia's most loved icons and the problems they face as their habitat is cleared.

Disease and climate change have had a real impact on the Koala population. With housing encroaching on the Koala's natural habitat, there is increased risk of dog attacks and road accidents. Simple measures like planting new and maintaining existing trees that Koalas feed on and keeping dogs secure at night go a long way to help.

the only way to save those koalas is to let people keep them as pets.

Cannot - unless the person has at least 5 to 10 acres of property which one Koala needs to survive... otherwise they will fret and starve themselves. Very, very fragile animals. :(

The best solution is to come up with mouth-watering recipes. When accepted as gourmet cuisine, commercial farming (and breeding) of these little cute, er sorry, good-tasting critters will ensure its existence.

And does it go with Red or White Ozzie wine?

Cheers!

Pathentic Sentosa island is suitable for Koala's animal living instead of being poor tourism attraction.

With Koala in sentosa, i think it helps to make Sentosa be the better tourists attraction place.

- can some one add a Sporn photo to my caption below:

September is the "Save The Singaporean Month" and culminates this year with "Save The Singaporean Day", on Friday 26 September . The aim of Save the Singaporean Day is to raise awareness of the plight of one of Singapore's most neglected icons and the problems they face as their jobs are cleared.

Disease (from FTs) and economy change have had a real impact on the Singaporean population. With FTs encroaching on the Singaporeans' natural job opportunities, there is increased risk of poverty attacks and road / rail accidents (as they choose to jump in front of MRTs). Simple measures like creating new and maintaining existing jobs that Singaporeans feed on and keeping FT dogs secure at bay go a long way to help.
