Samak bows out

Former prime minister Samak Sundaravej said he will end his role as leader of People Power Party.


Samak's former secretary general Theerapon Nop-ampa quoted Samak as saying he had done his best as leader of PPP and to protect the country's democracy.

"From now on, everything and every decision will depend on the PPP," said Theerapon.

However he stopped short of saying when he will resign.

Bangkok (Krungthep Mahanakorn in Thai) is not only the seat of government but also the seat of the throne. The one-man one-vote system is simply a technical illusion for the sake fronting a democracy. Opinions in Bangkok are politically worth several times more than opinions in the rest of the kingdom, even on a per capita basis.

The guardian and "moderator" of this system, is of the military, with sworn loyalty to the King and kingdom, not to government and people.

You got to realise that it is the people who speak up (protest) that prompt them to do the required action ( in whatever way) to get him out.

The whole idea is still what the people want. Sinkieland's LKY need to learn from that.

For me its simple: If you have to push out a PM, do it constitutionally, and not through the streets entirely. Since Samak was pushed out constitutionally, I cannot complain about his ouster.

Still it must be said that Thailand is gonna be in a lot of trouble for the next few years, especially if the Prime Ministers of the next few years are gonna last up to a year or less.

THe pushed out is cause by the street, they will not do that or pay attention to that if there is no protest. The protest lead to it since samuk wanna talk about law.

f he is not out in watever way, the protestor will not back down. That is Thailand and Thai people.
