"Miss You Like Crazy" is a song recorded by American singer Natalie Cole, released March 15, 1989 from her album Good to Be Back. The song is a moving ballad in which the singer describes how she is feeling lonely and is longing for the one she misses "like crazy" (or, in other words, very much).
"Miss You Like Crazy" was a huge hit for Cole, becoming her fifth Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, where the song peaked at number 7. The song also topped both the R&B and adult contemporary charts in 1989, as well as reaching number 2 on the UK Singles Chart. In Canada, the song peaked at number 19 for two weeks at the end of June.
"Miss You Like Crazy" is ranked as the 67th biggest US hit of 1989

"Lonely Boy" is an international hit song from 1977, written and recorded by Andrew Gold in 1976 for his album What's Wrong with This Picture? It spent five months on the American charts, peaking at number seven in both Canada and the United States, and number 11 in the United Kingdom. While "Lonely Boy" would be Gold's biggest U.S. hit, his "Never Let Her Slip Away" achieved greater success in the U.K.
The second verse of the song features backing vocals provided by Linda Ronstadt, Gold had previously worked with Ronstadt as a producer and backing musician.
The song follows the life of a child who feels neglected by his parents after the birth of a younger sister. Many assume this song to be autobiographical, yet Gold denied the implication, despite great similarities between the lyrics and his life. Regarding the verses' first lines: "He was born on a summer day in 1951" matches Andrew's August 2, 1951 birthday, "In the summer of '53 his mother/Brought him a sister" matches his sister Martha's July 22, 1953 birthday, and "He left home on a winter day, 1969" may well match the formation of Bryndle, of which Andrew was a member, in 1969.
The song was also released as an edited single, eliminating the vocal bridge and shortening the instrumental finale.
The song was featured in a number of films including Boogie Nights (1997), The Waterboy (1998), and The Nice Guys (2016).
In 1982 Italian singer Ron covered the song adding Italian language lyrics, releasing it as Cosa farò in his album Guarda chi si vede.
In 1997 country music band Blackhawk recorded a cover for their third studio album Love & Gravity
In February 2000, the Foo Fighters recorded a cover of the song to be used as a B-side for an upcoming single off their 1999 album There Is Nothing Left to Lose; however, it wasn't used as a B-side as planned.
In 2007, the song was covered separately by the bands Farrah and Lazlo Bane.
In 2013, rock band The Almost covered this song for their album Fear Inside Our Bones.
British-American band The Hoosiers often cover this song when they perform live.

The single reached #5 on the UK Singles Chart, and #67 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1978. Queen frontman Freddie Mercury contributed harmony vocals to the song, as an uncredited background singer. A version from 1992 by dance outfit Undercover was also an international hit.

"For Your Eyes Only" is the theme tune to the 12th James Bond movie, For Your Eyes Only, written by Bill Conti and Mick Leeson, and performed by Scottish singer Sheena Easton. The song reached number four on the US Billboard Hot 100, and number eight on the UK Singles Chart. It was nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards in 1982.
Conti – who was also responsible for the film's score – had originally written the song thinking about Donna Summer or Dusty Springfield, singers he thought "fit the Bond style". Film studio United Artists suggested Sheena Easton, an up-and-coming singer who had recently scored a No.1 hit in America with "Morning Train". Conti heard Easton's debut album Take My Time and felt unimpressed, but decided to work with her in the song after meeting Easton in person. Leeson's lyrics originally only used "for your eyes only" as the final line, as the lyricist felt he could only use the phrase as a conclusion. After credit sequence artist Maurice Binder complained about having to synchronize the unveiling of the title with it being said in the theme song, Conti decided to work with Leeson to write lyrics that opened with "for your eyes only"
Easton is the only artist (to date) to be seen singing the theme song to a Bond movie during its opening titles, as Maurice Binder liked Easton's appearance and decided to add her to the credits. Her seductive appearance in these clips was, according to Roger Moore, more sexy than any of the Bond girls, although Easton herself states that the filming process was very unglamorous. In particular, Binder had to attach Easton to a chair so she would be immobile during a take where the camera zooms on the singer's lips.
This was one of the few Bond themes not to have a contribution by John Barry. The song was produced by Christopher Neil, who was Easton's regular producer at the time.
The song was released as a single in June 1981, at the same time as the film's launch. It became a worldwide hit, reaching the top ten in the UK, number 1 in the Netherlands and top five in the US. It remains one of Easton's biggest hits and is still included on numerous compilation soundtrack albums.
The video "For Your Eyes Only" was directed by Steve Barron. The song's music, with different lyrics & a different title ("To Know No Boundaries"), was used in a series of advertisements for Merrill Lynch during the mid-1980s.

Boney M -- Rasputin

Boney M's Bobby Farrell dies on the same day and in the same town as Rasputin... the subject of one of the band's biggest hits
30 December 2010

Life sadly imitated art for Boney M's Bobby Farrell today as his death turned into an uncanny coincidence relating to one of his biggest hits.
The frontman died in St Petersburg yesterday on same date and in the exact same town as mad Russian monk Rasputin - who was the subject of the band's 1978 top three single.
The eccentric frontman was found dead in his hotel room aged just 61 just hours after a performance in the city where the band rose to stardom in the Soviet era, according to his agent.

article-1342807-019DC24E0000044D-363_224x423.jpg

Weird coincidence: Boney M singer Bobby Farrell was found dead on December 29 in St Petersburg... just like Rasputin

But while the cause of Farrell's death is still not clear, it couldn't be more different to that of Grigori Rasputin, who, said the lyrics in Boney M's song, was the 'lover of the Russian Queen'.
Rasputin, was 47 when he his body was recovered from Neva River. He had drowned after being been poisoned, shot four times, badly beaten, and thrown in the river.
He was the subject of Boney M's hit which was a Top 5 hit across Europe.
Today, Farrell's agent John Seine - who is based in the Netherlands - said of Farrell: 'He did a show last night as part of Bobby Farrell's Boney M and they found him this morning dead in his hotel room.
‘He did not feel well last night, and was having problems with his breathing, but he did the show anyway,’ Seine added.
The cause of his death was not immediately clear, according to Sergei Kapitanov, a representative of St. Petersburg's branch of Russia's investigative committee.
Boney M - consisting of Farrell, Maisie Williams, Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett - were one of the most successful bands of the late 1970s with Farrell becoming famed for his lip-synching as much as his dancing in the disco band.
The band's hits included Daddy Cool, Ma Baker and Rasputin. Indeed, their version of Mary’s Boy Child – Oh My Lord was the Christmas No1 in 1978 and is the tenth biggest-selling single of all time in Britain.
The double A-sided single Brown Girl In The Ring and Daddy Cool, also released in 1978, was the biggest-selling single of that year. Indeed, it remains the sixth biggest selling single of all time in Britain.
Farrell was born on the island of Aruba, one of the Lesser Antilles. He lived in Norway and the Netherlands before moving to Germany.
He worked largely as nightclub DJ before music producer Frank Farian signed him up for the new pop group he was putting together, which became Boney M.
Farrell was the sole male singer in the group.
However, Farian later revealed that Bobby made almost no vocal contributions to the group's records.
Instead, Farian sang the male parts on the songs in the studio. Farrell did, however, perform the songs live.
The band Boney M was put together by German singer-songwriter Frank Farian who also produced most of the vocals for the group.
Frank was also producer to group Milli Vanilli and caused controversy when he admitted that the guys who fronted the group did not actually sing the songs.
The original Boney M band broke up more than 20 years ago. Farrell was the frontman for a group called Bobby Farrell and Boney M.
However, their influence is still felt today after superstar pop singer Lady Gaga sampled the vocal 'Ma-Ma-Ma' hook from hit song 'Ma Baker' for her hit single Poker Face last year.
And dance group Duck Sauce released a track in 2010 sampling track Gotta Go Home on their hit single Barbra Streisand.
Farian has produced a new Boney M. version, also called Barbra Streisand, which was released early December 2010.

Berryz Koubou - Dschinghis Khan

Berryz Kobo (Berryz?? Berryz K?b??, literally "Berryz Workshop") was a Japanese idol girl group. The pop group was part of Hello! Project, produced by Tsunku, who also wrote their songs. Of all the musical acts in Hello! Project, Berryz held the title of the most consistent line-up, having kept all of their original members (with no new members added) since their one and only graduation (Maiha Ishimura) in 2005.
The group was formed in 2004 and debuted with its first single in March of the same year. In 2007, Berryz Kobo set the record for being the youngest act ever to give a solo concert at Saitama Super Arena. In 2008, the group received the Best Asian Newcomer Award at the Asia Song Festival and a Cable Music Award at the 41st Japan Cable Awards ceremony. As of December 2014, the group had released 36 singles, 9 studio albums, 1 EP and 1 compilation album. Berryz Kobo's combined CD and DVD sales exceeded 1 million copies in Japan alone.
All the group's members were initially selected during the audition for Hello! Project Kids in 2002.
Since then, the girls undertook serious professional training in Hello! Project.
In 2002, Maasa Sudo and Risako Sugaya, as members of the group 4Kids, played in the Minimoni movie Okashi na Daib?ken!.
In 2003, some Hello! Project Kids were placed in bands led by Morning Musume members: Miyabi Natsuyaki was selected to be in Aa!, while Saki Shimizu and Momoko Tsugunaga were in the group called ZYX. Both units were short-lived, and their activities came to a stall with the creation of Berryz Kobo.

"In My House" is the first single released from the American girl group Mary Jane Girls album, Only Four You in 1985. The song went to number one on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in April of that year and remained atop the chart for two weeks.
The song was produced by Rick James. In the song, the group declares their devotion to a man and telling him that they will be available to him anytime: If you need some love and tenderness / And it's me, baby, that you miss / Here's the key to unlock the door / To my house, my house.
In 2009, VH1 ranked "In My House" #52 on its program 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s.
In 1984, the Parents Music Resource Center was organized in the U.S. to draw attention to music which the group believed contained inappropriate content for children. "In My House" was chosen on the group's "Filthy Fifteen" list due to its alleged sexual innuendo. However, during the 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders of the 80s program, the group went on record as saying the song is not about sex, but about love

Bad Boys Blue are a multinational pop group that was formed in Cologne, Germany. The group performed many international hits including "You're a Woman", "Pretty Young Girl", "I Wanna Hear Your Heartbeat", and "Come Back and Stay".
Bad Boys Blue was formed in the summer of 1984 by German producer Tony Hendrik and his lyricist wife Karin van Haaren. The original trio consisted of Jamaican Trevor "Supa T" Taylor (the original lead vocalist), Briton John McInerney, and American Andrew Thomas. Their debut single "L.O.V.E. In My Car" failed to make an impression in the pop charts but the follow-up "You're a Woman" was a success, reaching the top 10 in many European countries.
The group became massively popular in Eastern Europe and South Africa, with the band performing to sell-out crowds in Russia and Ukraine. In contrast, the group never charted in the UK, and their only charting U.S. singles were "Save Your Love" (1993) and "Luv 4 U" (1994) which became successful chart hits. Those singles were from two of their albums that were released stateside: Bad Boys Blue (1993) and To Blue Horizons (1994).
