"Nights on Broadway" is a song by the Bee Gees from the Main Course album released in 1975. The second single released from the album, it immediately followed their number-one hit "Jive Talkin'". This track was credited to Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb.
In 1977, Candi Staton released a version of this song that peaked at no. 6 on the United Kingdom Singles Chart in late Summer of that year and at no. 4 in Ireland. It omitted the slow-paced middle-eight which broke up the tempo of the Bee Gees' original.

    Laura Branigan - Gloria

Laura Ann Branigan (July 3, 1957 – August 26, 2004) was an American singer, songwriter, and actress known for her powerful, husky alto singing voice which spanned four octaves. She is best remembered for her 1982 platinum-certified hit "Gloria" and for the top-5 single "Self Control". Branigan is also remembered for the top-10 song "Solitaire", and for the No. 1 Adult Contemporary (AC) hit "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You", as well as several other U.S. top-40 songs.
Branigan also contributed songs to notable motion picture and television soundtracks, including the Grammy and Academy Award-winning Flashdance soundtrack (1983), the Ghostbusters soundtrack (1984), and the Baywatch soundtrack (1994).
Her signature song "Gloria" by Umberto Tozzi stayed on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 for 36 weeks, at the time a record for a female artist; the song holds a place in the top-100 singles of both 1982 and 1983.
Branigan died at her home in 2004 from a previously undiagnosed cerebral aneurysm.

Girl You Know It's True is a 1989 album that was the U.S. debut of German pop group Milli Vanilli.
In 1989, several songs from Milli Vanilli's Europe-only release All or Nothing were repackaged and retitled Girl You Know It's True. The album was a major success in America, producing five top-five hits, of which three hit the top position of the Billboard Hot 100. On January 1990, Girl You Know It's True was certified 6x platinum by the RIAA after spending eight weeks atop the Billboard Top 200. The album was also certified Diamond in Canada, denoting shipments of over a million units there. The success of the album earned the duo a Grammy Award for Best New Artist. Following the scandal that revealed that Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan did not sing on their album exposed by Los Angeles Times journalist Chuck Philips, Arista Records dropped the act from its roster and deleted their album and its masters from their catalog, making it one of the largest-selling albums to ever be taken out of print. In addition, their Grammy was revoked, marking the first time a Grammy was ever rescinded from an artist.
In addition to including many of the tracks that originally appeared on All or Nothing in Europe, Girl You Know It's True featured several new tracks that did not make it onto the European album, including the hit single "Blame it on the Rain." In Europe, this tune instead appeared (albeit in an extended version) on the album All or Nothing - The U.S. Remix Album.
