This is because of the rise in the cost of high sulphur fuel oil, to which the cost of gas production is pegged, said gas producer City Gas on Thursday.
Gas tariffs for households will go up 7.5 per cent, from 15.14 cents per kwh to 16.28 cents per kwh.
The current average monthly household bill is $13.40, said a City Gas spokesman.

Gas prices are at all time low, and nothing to do with oil prices, both are different commodities.

Up prices becos gas goes up? What is he excuse this time?
