Fake Disneyland in China



Shijingshan Amusement Park, an amusement park in Beijing that has absolutely nothing to do with Disney. Japanese bloggers seem to have recently discovered the existence of this park and have posted pictures of some of its characters:


Here we have an original Chinese duck character hanging out with one of the Beijing Olympics mascots.


Maybe this child is amazed by the inadequate size of the duck character’s shirt?


Some have claimed that the park is illegally copying Disney’s Minnie Mouse. However, the park’s operators have insisted that the character on the right is not a mouse. It is a cat with very large ears!

China has confirmed itself as the 'king of counterfeiters' with the building of a new shopping centre dedicated to fake brands.

Some of the brand impostors at the mall in Nanjing, east of Shanghai, include a McDonalds look-a-like burger bar called McDnoald’s, a Starbucks-style coffee shop called Bucksstar Coffee, and a wannabe Pizza Hut called Pizza Huh.

City bosses are under pressure to ban the soon-to-be opened mall after pictures of the fake stores were leaked, causing uproar amongst angry consumers who feared they'd be ripped off.

Man-made Fake Eggs Sold on China Night Market

Zhengzhou city’s local newspaper Zhengzhou Daily (Zhengzhou is the capital city of Henan province, in Central China) reported on Aug 13, 2007 that resident Mr. Wang, who’s selling food additive for many years, found that the chicken eggs he bought on night market didn’t look nature- his experience in food told him the “eggs” were made by additive!

So he caught the boss of the restaurant and asked him to tell he the truth, otherwise he will sue to the authority. The boss then reluctantly told Ms. Wang that the eggs were totally man-made, he actually didn’t make it himself but bought from a producer, and had finally told him the process of how to make fake “eggs”.

Mr. Wang then bought some materials – chemical food additive- and exposed to the reporter how to make fake eggs.

After put the “egg” inside a calcium carbonate eggshell, a complete egg is ready – it only take less than 5 minutes.

Why make fake eggs ?

Because of money.

The cost of fake egg is only 0.55 Yuan/kg, while the true eggs’ market price is 5.6 Yuan/kg.

The Chinese are now picking up the technical expertise and processes

Like we have seen the Korean products come head-to-head with the Japanese in the last 10 years, the Chinese will master this knowledge and develop their own brands in time

Nothing to do with race ... this is just business

Actually why copy? If your things are good,
people will buy or eat also.
