I believe that there is usually one Rafflesian a year.
I am proud of the individual who is multi lingual, and individual whose father is a taxi driver.

No real big deal...afterall, all 3 of LKY children were all President Scholars.

Is that pure coincidence, intelligence or just pure luck?

Why the Taxi driver family all wearing BLACK? like attending some Funeral??. The dressing look so dated...can't they go to some good tailor like CYC & get some presentable threads?..after all, it is a grand occasion for their son, now he is elevated from low class to high class...maybe in the future to ever higher class..becoming the next ministar...who knows?

    At least...wear something classier...

theres no mix up,sinkieland has the world's smartest taxi drivers, lots of PHDs and masters driving taxis.if he didnt choose to walk down the path of PAP,he will end up being a taxi driver in the end.

but rest assured PAP will take care of him for life.

You mean, they found him in the waste bin at the maternity ward at KK hospital C ward? Honestly, if I am to attend a function at the INSTANA or to collect an award...I would have invested in a good pair of threads from CYC..shirts, pants, suit etc...get myself a nice hair groom, even a very good pair of shoes & socks....that photo I take, will be seen round the world & it will remain in the official vaults for ages...

They dressed like, attending a funeral wake, with clothing tailored by...." Johnny Tailor" or " Ah Mui dress making"....

Most of us know most taxi drivers are in their 2nd/3rd career and very often due to retrenchments or FT's taking over their jobs.
Anyone knows why Mr Lee became a taxi driver and still need to work at 69 when in most countries they would at this age be happily retired and enjoying life?
Good points. Let me check and revert to you.

So this is supposed to convince us that there is meritocracy in sinkieland?
Tons of examples of high paying assholes with elitist background or connections they don't know how to mention?

The children of the Ng family is even better than the Lee family. All three rose to ranks above BGs, while none of the Lee President Scholars made it past BG.

come on, the dad took pains and money to polish his dentures - polident tabs and special cement costs a lot nowsadays.
anyway, you're partly korekt when you mentioned funeral - those clothes were probably meant for the kwa-char occasion and now brought / worn forward at the son's insistence

For the good of the nation, we must have a reserved place for a Malay to receive the President Scholarship.

Also, next we must see that the minority race is slotted to be the next Commissioner of Police.

Also, next we must see that a Malay must helm the highest military position, Army Chief of staff.

Only then, we can see the coming EP election reserved for Halimah a sensible proposition.
