Serious S.Korea Issues Its Red-Lines to the Americunts

S.Korea issues red-lines to the Americunts. The call, delivered in polite language, for the Americunts to respond "responsibly", is as huge a slap as any that can be given at a diplomatic and government-to-government level. The subtext is clear. The Americunts have acted irresponsibly and we, South Koreans, will work with you but will not be used, or be your suckers just for your security.

As I mentioned in JT's "Fire and Fury" thread, Asians are not that dumb to allow themselves and millions of their people to be killed just so that millions of Americunts can live.

"President Moon Jae-in said Monday there cannot be another war on the Korean Peninsula and the North Korean nuclear and missile issues should be resolved peacefully.[...]

"A tragic war can never be allowed to break out on the Korean Peninsula again," Moon said. "I am sure the U.S. will keep itself calm and respond to the current situation responsibly."

Moon stresses peaceful NK resolution

US top general supports diplomatic, economic measures
By Jun Ji-hye

President Moon Jae-in said Monday there cannot be another war on the Korean Peninsula and the North Korean nuclear and missile issues should be resolved peacefully.

Moon demanded North Korea immediately stop its bellicose rhetoric and threats that are aggravating the situation.

He said that if the North chooses the "right path," the South is ready to boost exchanges and cooperation with it, which will be beneficial for both sides.

The President made the remarks during a meeting with his senior secretaries at Cheong Wa Dae.

He vowed that the government will make all-out efforts to resolve tension through close cooperation with major allies including the United States.

Stressing the top priority of South Korea is maintaining peace, Moon said North Korean issues should be resolved peacefully and that the U.S. government's position is the same.

"A tragic war can never be allowed to break out on the Korean Peninsula again," Moon said. "I am sure the U.S. will keep itself calm and respond to the current situation responsibly."

Moon added that peace on the peninsula will not be achieved through the use of arms.

The President's comments came amid an exchange of verbal threats between North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Last week, Kim threatened to strike areas around Guam with four Hwasong-12 intermediate-range ballistic missiles in response to Trump's warnings of "fire and fury like the world has never seen."

Trump also tweeted that Washington's nuclear arsenal was "now stronger and more powerful than ever before" and that the U.S. military is "locked and loaded" to deal with the North's provocations.

Moon's comments were construed as putting the brakes on the North's young leader and President Trump, as well as some U.S. politicians' increasingly mentioning various military options including a pre-emptive strike or a war on the peninsula.

Moon meets Dunford

Later in the day, President Moon held a meeting with Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) Gen. Joseph Dunford at Cheong Wa Dae to discuss how to deal with rising tensions and enhance the two countries' security cooperation.

Gen. Dunford arrived at Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, Sunday.

During the meeting, Moon called on the U.S. to play a leading part in resolving North Korea nuclear issues and the crisis facing the peninsula, according to presidential spokesman Park Soo-hyun.

Moon also called on the North to come forward for negotiations after stopping its provocations, apparently considering his previous proposals to hold military and Red Cross talks, which the North has not responded to.

In response, Gen. Dunford said the U.S. armed forces are putting top priority on supporting Washington's diplomatic and economic efforts to better deter the Kim regime, according Park.

The top U.S. general noted that the armed forces are also preparing for military options if these efforts fail.

Park quoted Gen. Dunford as saying that the U.S. will keenly cooperate with South Korea in carrying out any measures; and that the U.S. hopes that the situation will be resolved without a war.

At the meeting at Cheong Wa Dae, the general was accompanied by U.S. Forces Korea Commander Gen. Vincent Brooks as well as Marc Knapper, the acting U.S. ambassador to Seoul.

From the South Korean government, National Security Office (NSO) head Chung Eui-yong and the deputy commander of the Republic of Korea-U.S. Combined Forces Command (CFC), Gen. Kim Byeong-joo, were present.

NSO chief Chung earlier canceled his summer vacation plans amid mounting military tension here.

Regarding the North's threats to strike areas around Guam, Gen. Dunford said any military action in response to the North's possible attack will be made by the U.S. president and in the context of the alliance.

"Our job is to make sure our leadership has an option available to them," he said at a press meeting held at the CFC headquarters in Yongsan after his meeting with Moon. "I believe there are two things we are clear about _ one is our responsibility to defend against attack, and two is our requirement to make sure we have a decisive response in the event of attack."

The general, however, again stressed that Washington's current policy is focused on diplomatic and economic pressure, and sanctions.

"We are seeking a peaceful resolution to the crisis. That is an important message," he said.

Prior to the visit of Gen. Dunford to three Asian countries including Japan and China, the U.S. Department of Defense said in a statement that the visit was to "support Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's diplomatic and economic campaign to deter North Korea."

Dunford visited Japan before coming to South Korea, and then left for China later after wrapping up his two-day trip here.

When asked what he will discuss in China, he said he will require Beijing "not only to do what they did at the U.N. Security Council, which was to vote for sanctions, but to enforce those sanctions."

Earlier in the day, Dunford held separate talks with Defense Minister Song Young-moo at the Ministry of National Defense in Seoul, during which the U.S. general stressed Seoul is one of Washington's best friends.

The U.S. official also offered his congratulations to Song on his recent appointment as defense minister, saying U.S. naval admirals were pleased with the appointment. Song is a retired naval admiral.

In response, Song told Dunford in English: "The marines and navy are very close, and the United States and Korea also."

After the meeting with Song, Gen. Dunford also held short talks with his South Korean counterpart, JCS Chairman Gen. Lee Sun-jin.

A statement on the U.S. Joint Staff Facebook page said, "The trip highlights our ironclad commitment to the defense of the Republic of Korea in the face of North Korea's provocations and threats."

Moon says Seoul will prevent war at all cost

South Korean President Moon Jae-in said Tuesday that the country will expand its diplomatic efforts to peacefully resolve North Korea's nuclear and missile issues, vowing to prevent a war from breaking out on the Korean Peninsula.

"The government will prevent a war at all cost. We must peacefully resolve the North Korean nuclear issue no matter how many ups and downs there are," Moon said in a ceremony marking the 72nd anniversary of the country's liberation from the 1910-1945 Japanese colonial rule.

"The government will further step up its diplomatic efforts to make sure the international community's principle of peaceful resolution of the North Korean nuclear issue will not waiver," he added.

Moon's remarks come amid escalating tension between the United States and the North that many here believe may lead to the outbreak of armed conflict if not an all-out war.

Pyongyang says it is considering staging a missile exercise around the U.S.-controlled island of Guam that is viewed as a clear and direct threat to the United States.

Washington has warned that it can move to counter Pyongyang's threats militarily, with U.S. President Donald Trump going a step further saying the option to use force is "locked and loaded" and ready for implementation.

Moon apparently sought to calm both sides, saying no military action should take place without Seoul's consent.

"Military action on the Korean Peninsula can only be decided by the Republic of Korea and no one may decide to take military action without the consent of the Republic of Korea,
"
Moon said, referring to his country by its official name.

Still, the South Korean leader said his country will also enhance its own defense capabilities to ensure peace.

"At the same time, we will keep our doors open for military dialogue to make sure the military tension between the South and the North will not worsen," the president said.

He repeated his call on the communist North to halt its provocations and return to the dialogue table.

"North Korea must remember that when it suspended its missile tests or declared a suspension to nuclear tests was when the North-South Korean relations were at their best. That was when North Korea-U.S., North Korea-Japan talks were promoted and multilateral diplomacy in the Northeast Asian region flourished," Moon said.

"The resolution of the North Korean nuclear issue must start from a nuclear freeze. North Korea must at least halt its nuclear and missile provocations before conditions for dialogue can be created," he added.

He said his country will help ensure the economic development of the North, as well as the safety of its communist regime, should the impoverished nation choose the right path.

"I once again clarify. We do not want North Korea's collapse. We will not pursue reunification by absorption nor seek any type of artificial unification."

"Should North Korea continue down this path, there will only be isolation and a dark future for the North. We, too, cannot but increase our sanctions and pressure against the North even if we do not wish to," he said.

The South Korean president again extended his invitation for the North to take part in the upcoming Winter Olympic Games to be held in South Korea's PyeongChang, calling it a "great chance for the South and the North to take a step toward peace."

He also urged other countries in Northeast Asia, including Japan, to join efforts in institutionalizing regional security and economic cooperation.

But to this end, the South Korean leader said Japan must first look squarely at the countries' shared past and admit its past wrongdoing.

"The government will expand various exchanges, including shuttle diplomacy, for the development of Korea-Japan relations. But we cannot overlook historical issues just because the future of Korea and Japan is important. Rather, the mutual trust of the two countries will only deepen when they squarely address history-related issues," the chief executive said.

Moon earlier hinted at scrapping the 2015 agreement between Seoul and Tokyo over Japan's sexual enslavement of Korean women during World War II.

The deal, signed by Seoul's former conservative administration, sought to forgive Japan for its war atrocities once and for all in exchange for a mere 10 billion yen ($9.1 million).

"In dealing with history issues between South Korea and Japan, such as Japan's sexual slavery and forced labor of Korean people, there exists an international standard of restoring one's honor, compensation, fact-finding and a promise to prevent a recurrence of such events based on universal values of humanity and national consensus," the South Korean leader said.

"Our government will stand by these principles," he added. (Yonhap)

Sk only got themselves to blame for playing with fire along with their big brother. Any war is going to happen right in their soil.

And now they are even embroiling themselves in big brother game by deploying THAAD. Do they realise they are making themselves the legitimate nuclear target? Good luck to them..

The S.Koreans are not dumb. They know the Americunts are not "picking the tab" for nothing. They know they are being used by the Americunts. And it's not about N.Korea but China.

China has always been the Americunts' potential strategic adversary. With its rise, it is now a current strategic adversary. S.Korea is better than the unsinkable aircraft carriers that Taiwan and Japan are to the Americunts. It is geographically connected via N.Korea to China, without any troublesome sea in between.

So the Americunts think they are cleverly using the S.Koreans even as the S.Koreans make use of them. (It pays to have a higher IQ; the average S.Korean IQ is 106, whilst that of the average Americunt is 98.) But as I said, when it comes to the crunch, there is zero chance that the S.Koreans will allow their country to be reduced to an uninhabitable wasteland and for millions of their citizens to die just so that millions of Americunt trailer trashes can live.

It's a small victory for Trump. Unfortunately, China's umbilical cord to North Korea is still alive and kicking. We all know the UN sanctions is a front for China's hypocrisy. The issue won't be resolved until Trump kills off China financially. Panda Xi will go down on his knees to beg Trump to save his economy in exchange for North Korea. Trump needs to up his ante with China in the coming months after the 19th congress because that's when China is the most vulnerable.

Saw CNN's interview with SK's Presidential Advisor,Moon Jung In. It was clear the issue they were struggling with is Trump. They were trying to contain Trump not in the sense that they he was going to war but that he had no idea what he was doing and that his policy was one of "strategic confusion".

They also seemed resigned to that fact the no one can control NK unless incentives were given to Kim which effectively mens that Kim's strategy was effective towards South Korea.

It's a small victory for Trump.[...]

Neither "backing off" by Fat Kim nor "victory" for the trailer trash. All media reports on this "Guam strike" were taken from NK's Korean Central News Agency. These media reports were inaccurate, either due to sloppy reporting, sensationalism or for the expected Americunt propaganda follow-up in which the Americunts and its lapdog countries like Australia can then claim that NK "backed off", "blinked", "chickened out", etc.

This is what the KCNA reported on 10 Aug 2017:

"The Hwasong-12 rockets to be launched by the KPA will cross the sky above Shimane, Hiroshima and Kochi prefectures of Japan. They will fly 3 356.7 km for 1 065 seconds and hit the waters 30 to 40 km away from Guam.

The KPA Strategic Force will finally complete the plan until mid-August and report it to the Commander-in-chief of the DPRK Nuclear Force and wait for his order.

We keep closely watching the speech and behaviour of the US."

So these are the facts. NK planned to launch (not execute) the 4 missiles 30-40 km away from Guam, not into Guam, or into Guam's territorial waters which is 22.2 km away from its baseline. 30-40 km away is not Guam's territorial waters. The KPA planned to complete its planning in mid August and report the plan to Fat Kim. It did both. It is now waiting for Fat Kim's order to execute the plan. The execution would be conditioned on the "speech and behaviour of the US.["KPA Will Take Practical Action", KCNA, 10 Aug 2017]" and "if the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity, testing the self-restraint of the DPRK, the latter will make an important decision as it already declared.["KPA Strategic Force Command Inspected", KCNA, 15 Aug 2017]".

So there you have it, the facts and not the Americunt's propaganda about "backing off", "blinking", "chickening out", etc. One thing common in all these threats is that they come with conditions which both sides, including the "world power", will not cross. So you have Mattis blustering about "game on" and the news media going ga-ga over the latest Americunt bluster and bragging when his "game on" was conditioned upon NK "shoot[ing] at the US" or not "hitting the US or its territories, including Guam". Once again, 30-40km of waters away from Guam is not "shooting" into the US or into Guam.

Mao Zedong said this many years ago: "An AK47 makes everyone the same size." To paraphrase Mao, a nuclear weapon makes every country the same size.

N.Korea, despite its relative small size and poverty and with its paltry 10 (or possibly up to 60) nuclear warheads, is now the same size as the US with its "wealth" and its 5,429 stockpiled and deployed nuclear warheads. All the gutless and useless Americunt shit-stirrers and world's no.1 troublemakers can do now is to squeeze their balls, suck their thumbs, brag, bluster and bullshit about "fire and fury", "lock and loaded", "game on", etc as they helplessly wring their hands in despair and stupidly hope they will succeed in instigating China to do the dirty work that they are too afraid to do themselves.

As I stated in another thread, East Asians are not the hapless and helpless Middle-Easterners who lack the capacity to give as good as they are forced to take. These low-IQed Americunt white trailer trashes should not gamble with higher IQed Asians. It is a gamble they are guaranteed to lose.

I've been saying all along he is the man

If he is indeed "the man", he would have already walked the endless Americunt's talk. He would have launched at least 50 scud missiles into North Korea as he did with Syria recently. This is since N.Korea has already, and almost immediately, crossed his self-declared red-line. He would have already invaded N.Korea as the Americunts did with weaker countries like Iraq and Afghanistan who had no capacity to fight back.

Don't mistake loudmouthed bullshit bluster about "fire and fury", "lock and loaded", etc as courageous actions. They are not.

The Americunt's idea of courage now is economic sanctions against NK. This will result in the deaths of thousands of innocent N.Korean children. More than 500,000 Iraqi children died because of US led sanctions. The Americunts' response when queried, was that the deaths of these half-a million Iraqi children was "worth it". So there you have it. This is "the man". This is Americunt's "courage".

A bit too premature for the Americunt Chief to start celebrating and taking credit by giving out patronising compliments.

Donald J. Trump‏@realDonaldTrump

Kim Jong Un of North Korea made a very wise and well reasoned decision. The alternative would have been both catastrophic and unacceptable!

The key period starts from 21 Aug and runs until 31 August during the SK - Americunts "Ulchi Freedom Guardian" wargames.

As Fat Kim stated and as reported by KCNA, "if the Yankees persist in their extremely dangerous reckless actions on the Korean peninsula and in its vicinity, testing the self-restraint of the DPRK, the latter will make an important decision as it already declared".
