The 3 things that Singaporeans are concerned for themselves and their families are
1. Employment for the long term and career opportunity similar to the 70s, 80s, 90s for themselves and future generation
2. A country they can be proud like the 70s, 80s, 90s.
3. A iron clad state pension plan that they can contribute to that will give them financial independence, dignity and sense of security in their twilight years
my recommendation for solutions to the 3 issues:
3. smart nation. please loong bro tell your yang bro to make changi airport great again by offering free pubic wi-fi to travellers and passengers with no hassles such as the requirement to sign on with mobile number and wait forever for a passcode to be sent via messaging through a data connection. in the first place how to get messaging to work without a data connection via wi-fi? if traveller switches to (paid) data on cellular mode, why need wi-fi in the first place? it's because pubic wi-fi is expected to be free. moreover, sms on cellular voice and text mode only is different from today's messaging apps, inluding messaging apps on android and ios. get it? got it? go do it.

Ban smoking
Ban gambling
Ban FTs
And you realise the three problems go away.
no ideas…just a bunch of ridiculous goals…..diabetes…for fucks sake….
I'll put the same 3 things that Singaporeans should really be concerned with:
1. The acceptance and psyche that the world is moving at an extremely rapid pace, and the old mentality of expecting long-term employment and career opportunities are no longer viable. Instead, a serious opening up of debate about adaptation and career switching where possible, and a serious preparation of the future generation for jobs that do not yet exist i.e. a complete overhaul of the education system mirroring Fachhochschulen in Germany.
2. The dismantling of facile pride in shallow nationalism, and a true embrace of what global citizenry rooted in Singapore really means.
3. The acceptance that the Old Guard did well initially for the state pension plan inherited from the British, but it is now a failure and to rely on themselves by demanding accountability through their electoral vote.
Diabetes is a big thing, especially amongst the m&ds and the pioneer sinkies. I bet many oppies are diabetic too. The average oppie tends to be fat and underachieving.
