Serious Tony Tan Is A Disappointment

Tony Tan is a disappointment. It is during unsettling times like today that the Elected President show his wisdom and unify our country. Why is Tony dumb when Singapore is in trouble and needs a unifying President?

Today's issue is not abt LKY's Will or 38OR. Today's issue is allegations of PM LHL abusing his power to get personal gains and HC abusing her position when she has no official authority. Today's issue requires the intervention of the EP when the PM chooses to abuse Parliament to defend against alleged abuses by him and his wife. Why is Tony not stepping forward to say something? By keeping quiet, Tony is neglecting his duty as President and not fulfilling his oath of Office.

Hope that the 35% Singaporeans who voted for Tony at the last PE regret now. Singapore cant afford to fall for PAP's lie abt "Ownself check Ownself". SG must have an independent and wise EP.

Hope that the 35% will show repentance and vote for an independent and wise President in Sep 2017 and not vote for a PAP crony again.

Would you rather they voted for the other PAP cronies like Bock or Lian? They both enjoyed a lot of success in their careers thanks to their PAP affiliation. They wouldn't have gotten so far on their own, as they both learnt during the last PE when for the first time, Bock had no grassroots leaders to pave his way to continued electoral success.

Many knew that. That's the reason Tony got 35% despite the full support from PAP. The next PAP EP candidate must be very wary now after Tony's failure today

Bock got nearly the same votes thanks to his past PAP credentials. If you only had oppie support, you probably end up like that loser TJS with about 25% of the vote count, nowhere close to winning but at least gets his deposit back.

u r wrong. TCB took away many of the support from TJS.

If TJS didnt stand, TCB wld get 60%, TT 35% and TKL 5%

If TCB didnt stand, TJS wld get 52%, TT 44% and TKL 4%

not sure whether he still can remember the oath that he took 5 years ago when he took office.
he and his team of advisers are not only a disappointment...but also a disgrace to Singapore flag

peE And Pee member's domestic war.
so far he has fulfilled his kpi ,shows that ah tan is doing is job.

He will regain his 80% winning margins with ease against the average oppie party. Probably a 70% winning margin against WP.

But I sensed that Tony was not sincere when he took the oath of Office. Hence his inaction even during such dire times

U must be the last person in Singapore not to know that Tiny Tony is the uncle of Lee Hsien Loong. How does that feel?

Do you expect Gay Loong's uncle to do do anything about it? Both sides are his direct relatives. He is staying away from it like many of the other relatives.

It is pretty clear TT was drafted. One of the most silent of Presidents. Even the ST can't find much to cover about his doings. I suspect the deal was he would save the their asses but he would slumber through his term. No more than one, mind you.
