Can they please dub the PM's voice? I spent the whole of last night watching Japanese AV actresses swallowing cum and uttering, "Oishi! oishi!"

PM Lee speaks on Oxley Road dispute in Parliament on July 3: Follow The Straits Times for live updates from 12.30pm.....

SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will deliver a ministerial statement on the Oxley Road dispute in Parliament on Monday (July 3).

He will respond to the barrage of allegations by his siblings, Mr Lee Hsien Yang and Dr Lee Wei Ling, that he misused his power, in what is likely to be the most closely-watched parliamentary debate in years.

Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean will also deliver a ministerial statement. He will speak on the ministerial committee formed to consider options for the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew's house at 38, Oxley Road, which the two younger Lees have attacked.

MPs across party lines, including those from the opposition Workers' Party and Nominated MPs, have raised questions for the debate. The People's Action Party will lift the party whip, allowing its MPs to speak according to their conscience and be not bound by their party's position.

Parliament will sit at 11am. PM Lee will speak shortly after question time ends at 12.30pm.

Dr Wong Children, Li Yipeng and Li xiuqi are extremely quiet and never come out to defend their parents and Ho Ching.
This is a very bad sign for Lee Hsien Loong.

They may be his children but that doesn't mean they are blind.

Imagine that not a single question has been tabled for this session by any of the PAP MPs. There are 6 questions tabled on this issue and all from WP. So much about lifting the whip.

Same old. Hardly a surprise don't you think Scroobal? There is often the hope that "things have changed with this episode". But really the litmus test will always be the general elections.

I have long given up on the majority of Singaporeans.

Scroobal as you can see from the other thread about refugees fleeing to Canada, Singaporeans by and large are the type that want status quo and are paranoid about change and anything different and are easily frightened when faced with any possibility of hardship of any kind. Contrary to what the Straits Timea tells them they are not a resilient people.

Though it is to be expected, at least I see it that those useless PAP MPs' silence, will give WP ample time to ask questions as we know there is time limit allocated on this matter in parliament.

Re: Live Cover 3 July 2017, Mon : PM Lee delivering a ministerial statement in Parlia

PM Lee is truly a good PM! He is merciful while his ungrateful siblings do their best to destroy him.

SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said taking legal action against his younger siblings "cannot be my preferred choice", as doing so would further besmirch their parents' names and prolong the dispute.

He said this in his ministerial statement on Monday (July 3) to address accusations by Dr Lee Wei Ling and Mr Lee Hsien Yang that he had abused his power in relation to their late father's wishes for the family home at 38 Oxley Road.

Addressing the House, PM Lee said many people have asked why he has not challenged the validity of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew's last will in court, sued his siblings for defamation, or taken some other legal action to end the dispute and clear his name.

"In normal circumstances, in fact, in any other imaginable circumstance than this, I would surely sue," he said, adding that their allegation of abuse of power, while baseless, is a "very grave attack" not just on him but the whole Government.

PM Lee said he believes he has a strong case, after taking advice and considering his options very carefully.

"But suing my own brother and sister in court would further besmirch our parents' names," he said. "At the end of the day, we are brothers and sister, and we are all our parents' children."

He also noted that legal action would drag out the process for years, and "cause more distraction and distress to Singaporeans".

"Therefore, fighting this out in court cannot be my preferred choice," he said.
