You miss the whole point that LHY is making. He is insinuating that HC interferes with LKY's decision to get the house demolished by gathering evidences or papers that might tell something that LKY thinks otherwise about the house. The retrieval of the documents without going through his approval is not the point. After all, it is no big deal with the items that HC collected and passed to NHB. Even if LHY makes a ruckus out of it, it serves no purpose to indict HC. The documents to the NHB are of no consequence to his premeditated case. After all she is doing everything supposedly good for LKY and for Singapore to remember him.
LHY thought he almost got her by the throat but sadly, he miscalculated his move and the response from HC was nothing but brilliant.
