Don't know bro, but I suspect they enjoy just making comments on FB and social media rather than understand issues. Similar to fuckwarezone but with decent English.
It however creates a false sense of support for the leaders.
I would gladly ask any one of those posting to name at least 5 departments that report to PMO or name 5 Ministers and their portfolios - without looking at their phones or computers.
The state of education on basic concepts of government and its constituent parts is grossly ignorant (as we pride ourselves as a First World country). There lies the deplorable state of the nation and its citizenry - reduced to trolling and facebook squabbles. As a tiny island with a limited/small number of citizens (in comparison to other developed nations) given access to the best primary, secondary and tertiary education in the universe (as is often proclaimed by these PLPs), it is truly a sad state of affairs. And this is not about whether we have a good government so we should tiam tiam. Its about being a population that is also aware of what it means to have a democratically elected government.
There is a sense of despondency and hopelessness amongst a group of people who see this for what it signifies and how damaging it is - hypothetically if indeed there are even more serious allegations of abuse of authority and power and the sacred monetary corruption what happens then - who will the country turn to to step up and do the right thing? What have the mandarins in the civil service been doing when they were being directed from above by someone who has no direct authority over them as an unofficial member of government? Has there been pushback and resistance? What happened to those who were bold enough to say no? Were there any so bold to say no if at all?
This incident is so troubling on so many levels that it is obvious from the social media platforms that very few seem to appreciate the significance.
This spat has truly shown how there is almost zero accountability as those empowered to watch over as they will as a matter of instinct and self-preservation protect their masters. There is not one person in Cabinet who seems remotely capable or willing of doing so.
The more this drags on the more it reflects that this country just does not realise how well and truly fucked we are.
