It looks like we are looking at another similar scenario evolving albeit with new weapons in play. China is finding it difficult to contain Kim, the Allies are probably are certain to retaliate when a material threat occurs. And like Iraq, where the tank formations were decimated, the army truly routed and they spent their time burning Kuwait oilfield as they scampered back home in rags.

Again this will be massive, lethal and surgical with no land taken. Just the destruction of capability. And the difference this time will be no boots on ground.

The strongest hint came from the Japanese PM. A kid playing with a nuclear arsenal. What has the World come to??

I am sure the South Koreans despite their blood ties across the border will be cautious about reuniting with their brainwashed relatives. More importantly there is also China that still needs the buffer and will not allow an inch to be given up.

Basically after the Vietnam war, Asia and in particular SE Asia has been relatively peaceful with no massive scale country to country war. Asia is the economic engine to drive the Pacific Rim boom for the next 100 years and the ang mo kias don't want to see this happening.

After Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan went all wrong for the West, it will be a short engagement to protect the region, the trade routes, Japan, S Korea and Taiwan as all 3 are bound by treaties and to deal with a deranged madman who recently killed his half brother whose lifestyle suggest that he had no political intentions.

China cannot or will not handle this problem in their own backyard as it will be bloody due to the extensive common border and large standing army on both sides. Their stand which makes sense is to use the West to teach the little prick a lesson without dirtying their hands. China's last leverage of stopping coal imports from N Korea imposed recently did not work despite it being the largest foreign revenue earner.

amerigos always think they have the firepower and the upper hand. They think they just want to fight a 'sanitised' war, just as what they are supposed to do in Iraq, Syria, Yemen. But, if they ever attack North Korea, it will be another nightmare Vietnam for u arse a for the next 10 years. As mentioned, the world is a different place from 10 to 20 years ago....they could have done the same over the years, but does not mean that it will be effective and protect amerigos from the harms of war....a safe and sanitise war is a myth today.....

With the advance of technologies and rise of extremist actions all over the world, there are many many ways where u arse a can be hurt deeply in a war with North Korea.....not forgetting too China and Russia in the background....
