It does not matter if she won Olympic gold or the World title. Singaporeans want a genuine home grown hero who worked hard for it. Buying mercenaries and taking shortcuts so that the PAP MP of the day who runs the joint can claim person glory is cheap and tacky. I am sure we Singaporeans are happy for her achievement as it does show her talent and on her own merit.
