It seems to be a very slick idea that you stop installing anything any more. Your system is staying very plain and simple, just OS and Chrome Browser only, but it can do everything and anything running cloud and web apps just inside chrome and forever no need to install nor update, every time you run anything it will always be the latest version automatically.

It runs on all popular CPUs, x86_64 or 32 or ARMS.

The shocking I discovered when I tried it is that there is no device at all mounted as / root! Everything is on RAM, so that means very fast and faster than any SSD or RAID.

As long as you have fast internet connection and not paying expensive 4G data, I think it is very ideal. No system maintenance required, no anti-virus required, no defrag HDD required, no 1000 & 1 crappy system updates. Every time you reboot, it is quite fresh and clean. Ideally it should also do PXE web boot, meaning OS & Chrome browser also latest and fresh every boot up.

Only thing you need is lots of RAM, if got SSD just for your data and swap space, if no SSD, cloud storage and USB thumb drives for data. That's it!

Ah! Battery ah?

Does it run very hot?

My test was using desktop. I saw somewhere on web got a Chomebook can multi-touch the screen in 5 fingers.

it has low and back off power use when charging. not hot when much processing is done by servers in google's data centers. the acer chrome book runs cool. can multitouch with 6.9 fingers.
