I am really doubtful if those purported letters Gilbert shares on Transitioning which he claims to have received from various unemployed people are even real in the first place.
I still remember some time ago he published allegations condemning the civil service which was written by a supposed top ex-civil servant only to have everyone comment that the guy was just a low ranking disgruntled and dismissed Assistant Director. IIRC instead of publishing an apology and correction, he doubled down on a series of interviews with this supposed 'top civil servant' basically bitching about the government in general.
