Default First Lady, PM's Wife and Dresses

The First Lady of the USA and the wife of the Japanese PM wore dresses.

What is the reason that the wife of the Honourable PM of Singapore usually do not wear dresses, even on the state visit to USA,
    and at the State Banquet?

Ho Ching is dressing to her strengths. She is not feminine. Very manly. Hence power business suits suit her.
What I cannot comprehend though is why Lee HL wears pink shirts.

pink and red shirts for the superstitious are to ward off evil and ghosts out for revenge. the moment he wears a different color he would faint.

What an image that Singapore may project to the world:
spouse of PM almost always wearing pants,
and may be the possibility of a President wearing religious head dress,
    in an apparent secular Singapore.

Are you sure HC was dressing to her strengths?

To me, HC was dressing to hide her weaknesses. Does HC have the looks of President Xi's wife? Does HC have the looks of Melania Trump? Use your brain lah!!!

Red faces were present throughout the 2013 Shangri-La Dialogue yesterday as Ho Ching was ordered by an unwitting waiter to wipe up spilt wine. While the wife of Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lee Hsien Loong who is also the head of Temasek Holdings obliged with nary a smile, Shangri-La management were clearly mortified.
