no surprise there as sg is a deposit and trafficking hub - money, underaged prostitutes, diseases, semen, lots of semen deposited in watering holes all over the island, from cim to in-your-face to arseholes to cb raw, as advertised by hookers operating in sg. the "sin" designation on air tickets and boarding passes is rather befitting and appropriate.

The PAP is a multi-racial, multi-faith party of crooks.

If these money are laundered through Singapore banks, MAS will stand to lose its credibility.

To date, i am still puzzled why we issue the world largest denomination in cash notes ...the sing$1000 and the Sing$10,000.

These clearly facilitates large movement of cash across borders. ( a korean was caught with $6 million cash at Changi airport).. A professor from Harvard , Larry summers has proposed abolishing the use of the USD 100 bills. Can we also adopt and do the same..??

We do not know how many billions of cash are stored at our Changi Freeport by the rich, dirty and crooked foreigners.

If our MAS, finance minister and our PM want to be forthright on this, we should take steps to remove the use of the large denomination notes.

Otherwise, they are just turning their heads the other way..pretending that it is a non-issue and a non event.

I don't see anything wrong with wanting to keep ones finances private. It's a basic human right.

Yes..if it is legitimately earned and the money is not embezzled from the state coffers..

Remember we have 27,000 school children who do not have the daily $2.50 to buy food from the tuckshop.

Singapore under this leadership has allowed hot money to flow in after the crackdown of the Swiss system. So far we have allowed

1) The PM of Malaysia to launder the billions stolen from the Malaysian State
2) We handed over bribes in Singapore to former PM of PNG
3) Singaporean is connected with the laundering of USD 1.5m belonging Iran thru the central bank of Maldives

First 2 were uncovered by the US authorities and the 3rd by a British Press.

If not money laundering then how else are we supposed to grow our GDP?

That has been there from day 1, endorsed by the Govt. We entertained one of South Vietnamese minister during the height of the Vietnam war. 4 floors of whores were allowed. When foreign football teams visited, Singapore Sports Council staff used to distribute name cards of agencies that was dropped at their office. All the niteclubs from Lido to Arabesque handled things that many cities did not for high valued customers.

We can try expanding our prostitution and escort industries.

Oh.. and the Feds are squeaky clean? Google drug money and Federal reserve and the picture of SG's or any other countries' financial mismanagement becomes so minuscule, it's hardly headline-worthy..
