Nuclear warning: North Korea threatens to turn US military into HEAP OF ASHES

The deadly warning comes as joint military exercises are carried by the two allies – both sworn enemies of the totalitarian regime – in the Korean peninsula.
The United States and South Korea kicked off the annual military exercises earlier on Monday, prompting immediate anger from the reclusive regime.
The North Korean despot said if the US army showed even a hint of aggression during their military drills that they would pay for it with their lives.

Kim Jong-un stern retaliation threat of a potential pre-emptive nuclear strike follows heightened tension on the peninsula.
A US plan to build a high-tech missile system in South Korea and the defection of a high-rank Pyongyang diplomat Thae Yong Ho has enraged the North Korean regime.
The US-led command centre said it told North Korea the exercises were "non-provocative" in nature.
South Korea's Unification Ministry also expressed strong regret over the North's warning, saying the drills with the US are just defensive in nature.
But, a spokesman for Korean People's Army, insisted: "From this moment, the First Strike Combined Units of the Korean People's Army are fully ready to mount a pre-emptive retaliatory strike at all enemy attack groups involved in Ulji Freedom Guardian.
"The nuclear warmongers should bear in mind that if they show the slightest sign of aggression, North Korea would turn the stronghold of provocation into a heap of ashes with a Korean-style pre-emptive nuclear strike."
The North Korean Foreign Ministry also described the military exercise as an "unpardonable criminal act" that could bring the peninsula to "the brink of war".
China voiced concern about the drills, with a government spokesman saying it would make North Korea "more aggressive" at an already sensitive time.
