You have scholars from SG with first class honours in their degree who actually believe GST is to help the poor and that NS is a privilege, while remaining ignorant of Patrick Tan's white horse treatment. Add to that, some actually believe foreigners are here to help Singapore, not the hard truth that foreigners just use Singapore as a stepping stone

If there is one successful legacy of LKY towards Singapore, it is the fact that he had succeeded in creating a naive and gullible population that takes whatever is given to them as the gospel truth. HK and Taiwan are always sniggering behind our backs about our gullibility and rightfully so
