like ive said, the cranking part is setlled, if it cannot continue, problem is still oil delivery. the farked up fiat has issue of high compression rail. it could be a faulty pressure sensor, fuel sensor.

the problem is isolated somewhere there.

why cant the motherboard show the error codes when plug in?

don't know leh.
I am laymen .know little about car parts

I suggest u go and find out. Call the mechanic who installed it. Do you still have the receipt, it might indicate it on there. You have to use a high end good quality glow plug for this kind of car. Bosch is the OEM for that car. But in Singapore, NGK is cheaper, and bigger market share. Did it crank ok after the glow plugs were changed initially, and then when to no cranking again?

all mechanics r right. your next step is to replace all the spark plugs n the plug cable. but this is not the failsafe solution.

after cranking, the engine valve will start to compress oil, if it is done 1/2 way the valve will be flooded and it will not start properly.

the spark plug must deliver and not die in the process. the problem will persist. choose the right plug with right length.

use fuel injector cleaners as well.

the next big step is the fuel injector.

Don't be a clown lah. He already said it was a diesel engine. Diesel Where got spark plugs? Diesel engines use compression ignition not spark ignition. If its a petrol engine, then it will use spark plugs. Chey, anyhow talk cock.

one thing this fiat..driving inside is very silent. look also outstanding(at that time of manufactured)
controlling also responsive for it price.

mechanics say this Fiat not suitable for hot Singapore as it is designed for cold country.
maybe heat up too much in the compartment that why parts..worn out faster

So, you like this car? Is it safe? got airbags, ABS, etc. or not?

So what are the symptoms now?

1. Sometimes can crank, sometimes no cranking at all?

2. If can crank, sometimes engine don't start?

3. Or engine start then die off?

If car built for cold countries, so far did the mechanic tell you about any overheating of engine? Any loss of power?

The mechanic is talking through his ass.

Fiats are designed for Italy and it can be a hellava lot hotter in Italy. I was there one summer way before anyone had even heard of "global warming" and it was already 38 deg C in the shade!

FIATs are crap no matter where they are in the world.
