After spending all that time fighting tooth and nail against classifying Nidal Hassan's Fort Hood Massacre as an attack, Obama just slipped it into his Oval Office speech. "As we've become better at preventing complex multifaceted attacks like
9/11, terrorists turn to less complicated acts of violence like the mass shootings that are all too common in our society. It is this type of attack that we saw at Fort Hood in 2009, in Chattanooga earlier this year, and now in San Bernardino."
So it's not "workplace violence" anymore.
At the Fort Hood Memorial Service last year, Obama refused to use the word, "terrorist". Instead he actually dared to imply at this late date that Hassan was just having mental issues. "We can do more to help counsel those with mental health
issues, to keep firearms out of the hands of those who are having such deep difficulties."
He fought tooth and nail against awarding Purple Hearts. And now he's gone all the way over to almost calling the Fort Hood massacre a terrorist attack. Almost, as he still hedges and calls it an "act of violence" but one seemingly carried out by terrorists.
How many years did it take to get that smidgen of truth out of Obama?
