Playing victime card is nog uncommon in Singapore, especially many of our MPs, when caught red handed for saying the wrong thing, will weave excuses like their words were taken "out of context".

This dude has to learn the hard way what it is like to be accepted in Singapore. You must toe the line, you cannot openly air your grievances, you must accept that everything the state does is in the interest of the common man. And on National Day, you must display patriotism for Singapore, or you might end up on the wrong side of the authorities, or worse still, of the locals!!! So, for those of you with adverse thoughts of deviancy, keep them to yourselves. Do not make the mistake of speaking out too loudly, you might hurt the ears those who love Singapore. In other words, be a conformist.

Nothing to do with Singapore per se. Any company of repute in any country will sack a staff who does this and brings down the reputation of the company. The way he carried on online like a bigoted pork chop left only one course of action for the company.

FB accounts are seldom fake because they set up for vanity's sake and for the desire to show off ones wonderful life and to expound deep wisdom.

Vanity has been the downfall of many. This case won't be the last.

Agree. And people still continue. There is even a fad that that has been going on for longest time ever - tribute page in FB for someone who has died. Some dickhead who is total stranger who reads about a guy who gets killed in a silly accident in the newspaper and quickly sets up a tribute page after gleaning details from the deceased's FB. Family, friends, schools mates, work mates etc start posting tributes thinking it was set up by a relative or a good friend.

Then these total strangers compare who got most posts from the various tributes. Pretty sick.

These things would not happen if they did not put personal details in FB.

because the first global release is in english and anglo cuntries are targeted for trials beforehand, although they already have a jap version for japan. once they get the chinese version up and running they will most likely release it in hk, taiwan, sg except china. niantic doesn't expect sg to be a big english-lingo market as sf techies still think sg is part of china. :p and there will never be a singlish version. :p

he is stupid and childish for ranting against sg and not the maker of the game, niantic. as a marketing exec in "digital" media, he should know better. apps are bounded by geographical and platform limitations, especially when location-based api's and languages are concerned. for this release, the pokemon-niantic team is testing the waters with the first worldwide mass adoption among english-speaking cuntries, and there are already issues with capacity and resources to support viral sign-up's. pokemon-niantic will either have to increase capacity and scale their operations a hundred fold, no...make that a thousand fold, or defer the explosive growth of sign-up's and servicing the app to google with their massive cloud infrastructure. there are further tech details that i cannot divulge for now, but you get the gist. pokemon-niantic is not ready for primetime but when they do they can release the app by cuntries and languages in stages. just because this moron can't get it in sg does not mean it is shut out of sg due to sg's suckiness. it's an extremely map-intensive, cam-intensive and data-mining app. only the power of a streetview engine can handle it. moreover it's helping google improve its data and streetview collection with cam and location on plus user behavior and movement on both android and ios devices.
