Attempted suicide at MOM building
The Singapore Civil Defence Force says police have coaxed to safety a man found on the roof top of the 8-storey Ministry Of Manpower building at Havelock road.
SCDF received a call about the case shortly before 3 this afternoon.
The man was sitting on a ledge at the building earlier today but he's in safe hands now.
Eyewitnesses say the man has a tanned complexion.
SCDF says it deployed two support vehicles, two fire engines, and an ambulance to the scene.
It also inflated a large yellow life pack the size of a small HDB bedroom on the ground floor, directly beneath where the man was sitting earlier today.
But they deflated it and removed most of the cordon at around 4.30pm
