Yet another case! And this is probably the tip of the iceberg given the Old Fart's scorched earth pro-FTrash decree!

SINGAPORE: A former senior customs officer has been charged with corruption by accepting lottery tickets.
61-year-old Matthew Goh, who was then a chief immigration and checkpoints specialist, is accused of receiving 4D tickets from a man who helped women from China enter Singapore via the Woodlands Checkpoint.
The two tickets were worth a total of S$240.
Goh, who has since retired, allegedly failed to report a subordinate whom he knew was conducting less stringent checks to facilitate the women's entry into the country.
He is out on a S$5,000 bail and due back in court next Friday.
If convicted, he could be fined up to S$100,000 or jailed up to five years, or both. - CNA/vm

that guy must be desperate.
such a small amount,not worth it.

but the place has the most opportunities and lobangs for corruption,they control the issue of visa and permit.

but again,any places also can be corrupt,just that some maybe nv surface and reported only.

Maybe not such a fool. Maybe this has been going on for a long , long time & he's made alot of $$$. Must be easy enough to get away with it & he got careless?

How many other departments have side deals going on? Why should Spore be immune from corruption?
