Henrikh Mkhitaryan to help Man Utd by paying chunk of transfer fee

Borussia Dortmund ace Henrikh Mkhitaryan is willing to help Manchester United fund their bid for him.

The Sun says he could force through his move to Manchester United by paying a chunk of his transfer fee himself.

Borussia Dortmund are taking no nonsense from Jose Mourinho's side, demanding around £26m for a player in the final year of his contract.

United would look crazy to part with so much money for a 27-year-old player who will be a free agent in 12 months.

But they might not have to take that much of a hit if reports in Germany that he could pay a part out of his pocket are proved to be true.

The free-scoring midfielder scored 18 goals and provided 25 assists last season and was named the Bundesliga Players' Player of the Season.

Just have a funny suspicion that Paul Pogba will choose REAL over United. Anyway, paying 90 million pounds over any player is downright silly and ridiculous. They should have bid for Pjanic who is just as good if not better than the Frenchman.

I think it's no brainer. Who can resist the call of Real ? Even if you don't make it subsequently, your CV is shinier.

Practical note - Man U can forget about pogba. Y pay the astronomical fees ? Might as well go buy 2 to 3 others n develope fosu. He has the potential.

Face palm from a Man U legend.

Everything about England’s time at Euro 2016 was ludicrously farcical.

From Roy Hodgson and Ray Lewington taking a boat ride down the Seine rather than watching Iceland play, to Hodgson’s bumbling press conference after his resignation where he claimed ‘I don’t know why I’m here’.

That’s before you analyse the performances on the pitch as England failed to beat useless nations Russia and Slovakia before succumbing meekly to Iceland – a nation with a population smaller than Bristol.

It really has been miserable.

And if one gaffe sums it all up, it has to be this blooper from Manchester United legend Gary Neville.
This gaffe from Man Utd legend Gary Neville sums up England’s useless Euro 2016

Neville, part of Hodgson’s coaching staff, suffered an extremely embarrassing moment after the defeat to Iceland.

After leaving the interview zone following the humiliating enough loss, Neville managed to board the wrong bus.

Rather than getting on England’s team coach, the ex-Valencia boss ended up on the bus belonging to Iceland.

Doh!

You might think it’s an innocent mistake but the giant ‘Come on Iceland’ window sign is a bit of a giveaway…

A disaster from start to finish.

Ibrahimovic tells Manchester United: If you want me, you have to sign my chef

The 34-year-old has warned potential suitors that his signature comes with one rather obscure add-on - famous chef Joel Robuchon has to come with him

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has warned Manchester United that they have to make an obscure but specific arrangement if they want to land his signature this summer.

The Red Devils are leading the chase to sign the 34-year-old following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain and, while he has stated previously that his next club has already been decided, a deal is yet to be confirmed.

While potential suitors may feel relieved that they do not have to negotiate with a club to sign Ibrahimovic, they do have to overcome an extra obstacle.

Ibrahimovic has warned that famous French celebrity chef Joel Robuchon will have to come with him when he moves to a new side.

"I will bring my chef from Paris with me to my next destination," the enigmatic attacker declared on Instagram, posting a picture of him with Robuchon.

The 71-year-old has more Michelin stars than any other chef in the world and was named Chef of the Century in 1989. It's no wonder, then, that Ibrahimovic wants to take him with him!

Icon, not unexpected exit. Every success Giggsy

Ryan Giggs: Manchester United legend
leaving after 29 years at club

Ryan Giggs has ended his 29-year stay at Manchester United by agreeing a settlement with the Old Trafford club.
United are expected to release an official statement in the coming days.
Giggs, 42, had a year remaining on his contract as assistant manager but new boss Jose Mourinho intends to fill that role with long-time friend Rui Faria.
Unable to reach agreement over another role at the Premier League club, Giggs, who made a record 963 appearances for United, has decided to move on.

Cardiff-born Giggs has his Uefa Pro Licence, a mandatory qualification for managing in the Premier League, and has never made any secret of his desire to move into management.
Linked with Swansea last season, he felt he was ready to manage United, having served his apprenticeship under David Moyes and then Louis van Gaal.
But he was known to be less than impressed with how Van Gaal's exit was handled by United, when news of the Dutchman's sacking emerged moments after the club's FA Cup final success.
Giggs was also disappointed to be overlooked in favour of former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Mourinho, whose appointment was confirmed in May.
Giggs joined the United academy on his 14th birthday, turning professional aged 17 in November 1990 and making his first-team debut against Everton on 2 March, 1991.

He won a record 13 league titles, two European Cups, four FA Cups and four League Cups to become the most decorated British player of all time.
He became a player-coach following the arrival of Moyes as manager in 2013, taking control of the first team for the final four games of the season after the Scot's dismissal.
Giggs was then appointed as assistant-manager by Van Gaal in 2014.
Giggs represented one of the final links to the Ferguson era - and given his service and achievements at United, the club risk a potential PR disaster in letting him leave.
The Welshman was largely responsible for promoting exciting 18-year-old England striker Marcus Rashford to the first team last season and is the embodiment of the United traditions of a commitment to youth and attacking football.
However, he was part of a static management team criticised by fans, pundits and former players for a dull style of play which ultimately cost Dutchman Van Gaal his job.

What next?

Led by executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward, United are now a different club to the trophy-winning juggernaut of the Sir Alex Ferguson era.
With a revised transfer policy of world-class marquee signings and the abrupt termination of Moyes and Van Gaal's contracts, along with the appointment of Mourinho, winning has been prioritised ahead of longevity and long-term planning.
Despite one senior member of the club's hierarchy saying last year that Giggs "triple-ticked" many essential components needed for the manager's job, he remains unproven at the highest level.

Giggs has made no secret of wanting to manage United in the future and it was thought the club had a long-term plan with the same aim.
He is unlikely to be short of offers from chairmen ready to give the Welshman his first permanent managerial role, having passed all the relevant Uefa coaching qualifications and served his apprenticeship at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Wales manager Chris Coleman has previously said Giggs could benefit from the "spark" of stepping out of his "comfort zone" at United, backing him to "cut his teeth somewhere else and prove he has what it takes to go back there".
Similarly, United goalkeeping great and former team-mate Peter Schmeichel said Giggs should "learn the trade" of management at another club.

All the best to Giggs. It will do him good. Perhaps not premier league but championship team. If he can lead them to promotion, with attacking football it will do his cv a lot of good.

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund, the German club have announced.

The 27-year-old Armenia international will become United’s third major summer signing under new coach José Mourinho, following on from Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly, although the move is still to be finalised with personal terms yet to be agreed, plus a medical and work permit to be undertaken and arranged.

A Dortmund statement read: “After intensive discussions BVB have complied with the wishes of the Armenian national team player to join Manchester United.”

Dortmund have not revealed the transfer fee for the former Shakhtar Donetsk player, but the Guardian understands it to be in the region of £30m.

“Manchester [United] have made us an enormously valuable offer,” said the Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke. “Had we rejected it, the player would have been able to leave for free in 2017. And all we would have done is delay the issue for another year.”

The expected move comes less than 24 hours after Ibrahimovic completed his switch to Old Trafford. “I am absolutely delighted to be joining Manchester United and am looking forward to playing in the Premier League,” said the Swede. “It goes without saying that I cannot wait to work with José Mourinho once again. He is a fantastic manager and I am ready for this new and exciting challenge. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career so far and have some great memories. I am now ready to create more special memories in England.”

Juan Mata is expected to leave. Player exchange with Valencia likely. Rumors abound that Everton may step in with the cash for Mata. It was inevitable when Jose arrived. No chance for redemption.

the writing is on the wall, Ibrahimovic is rumored to be having the number 8 shirt.
And if Henrikth is going to don the number 7 shirt, then we know who else is heading towards the exit.

Which then, contradicts Mourniho's earlier statement that he will make a decision on the exits after he watched them play...

United to complete signing of Mexico star Lozano

Manchester United are close to signing of 20-year-old Mexico international Hirving Lozano.

The Red Devils are understood to have been scouting the player for months, and Pachuca’s vice-president claimed the club is in talks to sign Lozano.

“Already there is negotiations with that team [United]? Yes,” Andre Fassi told ESPN. “There is still nothing closed though.”

Now Lozano’s father-in-law has claimed the Mexico international will head to Manchester after Mexico compete to retain their Olympic gold medal.

“Yes. It’s all done, just missing some details and after the Olympics, the deal will become official,” Lozano’s father-in-law told Futbol Entre Lineas.

Lozano made four appearances for his country in last month’s Copa America in the United States, where they were knocked out 7-0 by eventual winners Chile.

According to reports from ESPN in March, Lozano reportedly drew interest from several other clubs, including Real Sociedad, Schalke 04 and Porto.

United have had a busy summer so far, with Mourinho securing the signings of Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while the club are closing in on Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

I thought they've asked Martial to switch to 7. Anyway, they're just numbers. We could end up with a very big squad b4 the start of the season.
