Serious Difference Between China and Singapore

President Xi said China must increase investment in care for the elderly. Xi said that the needs of the elderly population and properly solving the social problems that an ageing population brings are matters relating to the overall development of the country and welfare of the people.

In contrast, PAP doesnt lift a finger to help SG's elderly and is happy to see SG elders toil for their livelihood. And pap wants a 86year old Singaporean to py $1500 a year for MedishieldLife premium.

Which is the caring govt?

Shame on the pap for not able to see what's obvious to China and other countries...and that's to care for their aged citizens.

Here, the nation's wealth belongs to the Familee and their Cronies, hve they not reminded Sinkies that the Govt is PAP. Sinkies better learn to accept that being poor here is a blessing than being poor else where.

my parents were uneducated and poor but are now in good finances with a hdb flat that appreciated in value tenfold since they first bought it, no debts, tiny pension, disability compensation, affordable medical care, humble savings, and enough for basic daily needs including occasional affordable luxuries such as kopi and kueh. lately just found out they have broadband at home but seldom it is used due to lack of gadgets and devices. next project for me is to hand them down my older ipads and macbooks, teach them in their use, in order for them to get in touch daily with the rest of family and friends. in other words it's time for them to join social media and the 21st century. they are happy, sinkies are blessed, thanks to the pap.

China now sees a need to care for its old citizens. China recognises that these old citizens had contributed much and sacrificed for China. When will pap wake up to this truth abt SG's aged and get Singaporeans to honour these elderly singaporeans? The Pioneer Generation package doesnt do enough to honour our elder Singaporeans

What's wrong with climbing to the top of the mountain using your legs and hands? It's good exercise and an advantage that they are trained from young unlike sinkie grandpas & grandmas who have to start their cardboard exercises late in life.

Had an acquaintance from Citibank who went to China for a working visit. Came down with high fever and the hotel arranged for a doctor who recommended hospital admission. He spent 2 days in an Army hospital. The bill was less than $10. He was impressed and shared his experience. When he was asked if he wanted to be posted there, he refused. From air pollution, water quality, vegetables washed with dirty water, tainted food, people driving the wrong way etc. were reasons given by him. After that he stopped talking about China let alone the cheap hospital bill.
