Eagles are one of my favourite bands. Hotel California was released the year of my GCE O levels, and remains popular today. However, the guitarist that comes to mind for the Eagles was Joe Walsh. Saw him at a concert in Cleveland, Ohio, his own band (not the Eagles), where the crowd was shouting "Joe Walsh for President!" He has a strong following and fan base in Ohio. His reply was, "I can't - I smoke pot!" I like his song, "Life's been good." best. I think his home town is Canton, Ohio. (or Dayton).

Cheers!

when I saw the eagles in concert, Joe walsh had really cleaned up his act. I could barely recognized him until they introduced. He had a short hair cut, slimmed down, looked fit, dranked bottled water on stage. The solo Joe Walsh was a party animal and druggie.

Yinyang, thanks for the vids. I am not a fan of Eagles. And I only know Hotel California. But after listening to these few great songs, now i know why they were so popular. And interestingly, in this band, everyone is the vocalist.

They are famous for their harmonizing. Listen to their song "Seven Bridges Road" for a good example.

Yup. The new Joe Walsh looks like an insurance salesman. People grow up, and soon conform to society. Eric Clapton was a hippie, druggie during the 60s and 70s, long-hair, bearded, heavy into mind-altering drugs! Now look at him. Short hair, keeps fit, no more wild parties. That's being human. I'm no rock star, but in my youth, was rebellious, anti-establishment, motorcycle maniac. Now, just and ordinary working class tax-paying, law-abiding salesman, living a boring and ordinary life. That's life!

Cheers!

Thanks for the recommendation! Another nice song. I think i need to get their album soon.

I have lost count of the number of Eagles Albums I have had over the years. In cassette, LP or CD form. I even had a boot leg version which I bought went I visited the States.
