Fire breaks out at Orchard Plaza car park

SINGAPORE - A fire broke out at the car park of Orchard Plaza on Monday (Dec 21), local media reported.
According to TODAYonline , the fire has been put out before the the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) arrived. No one was injured.
SCDF said that the fire took place at basement two car park of the mall, and involved discarded items.

Monday's incident comes after another fire broke out on Dec 18 in Lucky Plaza, causing the building to be evacuated.
Netizens have taken to social media to highlight their concerns of the incidents plaguing the shopping belt.
Just last week on Dec 13, the false ceiling at Hilton hotel's driveway collapsed and four were taken to hospital. Orchard Central was plunged into darkness on Dec 12 after a blackout and a concrete slab fell from a pedestrian bridge outside Orchard Plaza on Dec 9.
Earlier this month, a Christmas tree outside Knightsbridge mall was engulfed in flames at least two storeys high on Dec 2. On Dec 10, another piece of Christmas decoration caught fire, this time at Peranakan Place. The fire involved decorations tied to a street lamp.
